A Year of Komfort Journey · Parent Loss

You Lost the Person Who Knew Your Whole Story.
We See That.

A full year of presence — for the grief that arrives alongside the paperwork.

You didn't just lose a parent.

You lost the first voice you ever knew. The one who remembered your first day of school, your worst year, your favorite meal. The number you still almost call.

You may be grown. You may have a family of your own. It doesn't matter. Grief like this doesn't check your age.

The Parent Loss Year of Komfort Journey was made for this: for adult children navigating the loss of a mother, a father, or both. A complete, intentionally structured year of care, designed around how grief actually moves. We show up the way you needed someone to show up. Gently. Repeatedly. All year long.

Everyone expects you to be fine.
You're too busy to find out.

The funeral ended. And the list began.

The estate. The house. The accounts, the passwords, the forms that need a certified copy of something. Siblings who need answers. A parent's belongings that need a decision. Somewhere in the middle, you became the one in charge: of the arrangements, of everyone else's feelings, of the whole unfinished business of a life.

The role reversal is real. You spent years being cared for, then years caring. Now there is no one left to take care of. And no room to be taken care of yourself.

People say, "At least you had them for so long." They mean well. It doesn't help.

Being an orphan at forty, fifty, sixty is a strange, quiet kind of lonely. The one who held your history is gone. Nobody else remembers it quite the way they did.

Grief doesn't have an expiration date. But the support around it often does.

That's the gap we were built to fill. Not a one-time box. Not a gesture. A full year of continued presence, delivered at the moments when the missing feels loudest.

How It Works

A complete year of care,
delivered in phases.

The Parent Loss Year of Komfort Journey isn't a single package. It's a guided year, structured around how grief moves through the seasons that follow loss.

The Signature Krate arrives first. It's the grounding box: full of comfort, intention, and space to breathe before the next task on the list. It ships within 1–3 business days, because sometimes the need is now.

Scheduled follow-up moments arrive across the year, each timed to one of three chapters: the early weeks, the first holidays and birthdays, and the turning point when grief begins to be carried differently. Each one says, without words: I'm still here. I still remember them.

Choose the plan that fits, and the care keeps arriving. Shipping varies by location.

The Signature Parent Loss Krate

Everything chosen with intention.
Nothing chosen carelessly.

The Signature Krate isn't a collection of things. It's a collection of small comforts, each one saying something the sender might not have words for.

✦

Linen Journal with Gilt Edges

Because grief needs somewhere to go. A beautiful, tactile place to write: not to get it right, but to let it out.

♡

Journal Prompt Cards

For the days you don't know where to start. Gentle questions that ask about them, and about you, without demanding answers.

✦

A Good Pen

Because words about a parent deserve more than a borrowed ballpoint.

♡

"Letters I Never Sent" Card Set

For everything left unsaid: the thank-yous, the questions, the apologies, the ordinary news. Write it down. Seal it. Keep it or release it. Either is right.

✦

"In Memory of" Keepsake Card

A card that says their name out loud, the way it deserves to be said.

♡

Recipe & Memory Card

A small card for capturing their sayings, their favorite dishes, the way they hummed while cooking. The details that fade first are the ones worth writing down.

✦

Weighted Lavender Eye Mask

For sleepless nights and long afternoons spent at the kitchen table with their paperwork. Gentle pressure. Calming scent.

♡

72% Dark Chocolate Bar

A small indulgence. A reminder that it's still okay to find comfort in simple things.

✦

Magnesium Bath Flakes

For the body that has been holding everything. Twenty minutes where nothing is required of you.

♡

Calming Teas

Because sometimes the kindest thing is something warm in your hands.

✦

Black Labradorite Heart Stone

Smooth, weighted, meant to be held, with a keepsake card. Labradorite flashes color when it catches the light, a quiet reminder that something still shimmers.

The Year of Komfort Journey

Three chapters.
One full year of showing up.

Grief has seasons. The Year of Komfort Journey is designed to travel every one of them alongside the person you're sending it to: from the raw beginning through to the quiet turning of the first year.

1

Chapter One

"Still Reaching for the Phone"

Early weeks after loss

The first chapter doesn't try to move anyone forward. It holds space for exactly where they are.

A "this can wait" card, permission in writing to set the list down for an evening. Reflection journal cards for the thoughts that don't yet have shape. A small bundle of stationery for the thank-you notes no one should have to write alone. And a simple sensory comfort item, chosen for the nights that are longest.

2

Chapter Two

"Who They Were"

Months 3–4, including first holidays and birthdays

This is the chapter for when the first wave begins to settle, and honoring starts to feel possible alongside the missing. It arrives with the season of firsts.

A memorial candle, gently chosen. Journal prompts that invite memory without demand: What did they say that you still hear? What did they teach you without trying? A small "first holiday" guide with permission to do it differently, or not at all. And a keepsake token to carry, or to give to a sibling.

3

Chapter Three

"Carrying Them Forward"

Month 6 and beyond

This isn't the end of grief. It's the beginning of carrying it differently.

A carefully selected grief book for the reader who is ready. A "what I carry from you" card, for the traits, habits, and phrases that live on in you now. A small seed or plant card, because something growing can feel like permission to do the same. Because healing isn't forgetting.

The Year of Komfort Journey ends where the first year of grief ends: not with closure, but with something steadier. A sense that someone was there for all of it.

♡

Because every loss is different.
And every letter should be too.

The letter inside each krate is written specifically for the person receiving it.

We write differently for the loss of a mother than for the loss of a father, and differently again for losing both. We write for the sudden phone call and for the long illness, for the months of caregiving that ended in a quiet room, and for the goodbye that never got said.

And not every parent was a safe place.

Some relationships were warm. Some were complicated. Some were painful, or distant, or ended long before the death. If that's your story, you are allowed to grieve what was, what wasn't, and what you needed and never got. Relief and sorrow can sit side by side. We won't assume a perfect parent. We'll meet you in the truth of yours.

When you order, you'll tell us: mother, father, or both. Sudden or after illness. Close, complicated, or somewhere in between. Siblings, too, if it matters, because dividing a parent's things can pull a family apart just when it needs to hold together. We'll shape the letter around all of it.

No two letters are the same. Because no two losses are.

Who This Is For

This journey is for the grieving.
And for the people who love them.

If you're giving this to someone else

Maybe it's your friend, your partner, your sibling. You've watched them carry the funeral, the house, the forms, everyone else's feelings. You've searched for something that would say what you mean: that you see them, that you haven't looked away, that this loss counts, however old they are.

This is that thing.

You can give someone an entire year of presence. A beginning, a middle, and a turning point, all handled with care, all arriving in step with how grief actually unfolds. You don't have to find the right words. We help you keep showing up.

If you're giving this to yourself

That is not only allowed, it's encouraged.

You've been the strong one. You've been the organizer, the executor, the one who made the calls. You are allowed to set that down. You are allowed to grieve fully, the parent you had and the one you wish you'd had. And you are allowed to give yourself an entire year of care, not just in the first week, but in all the weeks that follow.

What it feels like to be seen.

“

Two weeks after my mother died, I was drowning in paperwork. The krate came, and the first thing I read was a card that said the list could wait. I sat on the floor and cried for the first time since the funeral.

Lost her mother

“

My best friend lost her dad suddenly and I never knew what to say. I sent the Year of Komfort Journey. When the holiday krate arrived, she called me and said, "How did you know that this would be the hardest week?" That's the point. It kept showing up when I couldn't.

You don’t have to say
the perfect thing.

You just have to show up.

And sometimes, most of the time, showing up looks like sending something that says:

I remembered them. I came back. I'm still here.
